Wolf Swamp is a powerful outlaw/honky tonk country band based in Massachusetts, fronted by the veteran guitarist and songwriter G. Dylan Phelps. The band brings a heavy dose of authenticity and history to the genre, with a lineup comprised of seasoned musicians who have shared stages with some of music’s biggest names.
The core of Wolf Swamp features a rhythm section with serious rock credentials: drummer Dennis Auger (who played with Tony Macalpine and opened for acts like Blue Öyster Cult and Ratt) and bassist Nick Fields (a 25-year veteran of punk, metal, and blues). Guitarist Joe Bear III, the son of a national touring country musician, locks in the band’s roots sound. Currently, Wolf Swamp is preparing to release an album of new original material, with songs like “I’ve never been to Nashville” and “Meet me at the bottom,” mixing them seamlessly with covers from Willie Nelson to Sturgill Simpson.
